i am the harvest

planted in fallow ground
my roots dig deep
sprawl in all directions

mother earth meets me where i am
sends me love messages
from beyond the veil

my seed planted generations ago
i germinate with a purpose
i hear the air enter my body

ancestors on the wind
on a breeze
a hummingbird’s whisper

oxygen molecules sing
in silence to the listening ear
a still heart resonates with
rhythms of earth rumbles

hope buried in my genes
animate my life with ancient dreams
i feel water flow through my roots

the wisdom of ancestors nourishes
evolution experience and concept
guides my first steps away from the womb

we are composed of the same wind water earth
elements that connect all of us living and living eternally
we embody the potentials of balance and harmony

a challenge to calibrate the chaos without
a silent dance partner to the chaos within
